“Happy Independence Day!
Sholapur, Maharashtra – August 15, 2024 – In a remarkable celebration of India’s Independence Day, local residents came together to donate 100 plants, marking a significant step towards environmental conservation and community health. The event, organized by Aradhya foundation at Kumthe Village, saw enthusiastic participation from community members of all ages.
In addition to the tree planting, the event featured a series of health awareness sessions focusing on Antenatal Care (ANC), Postnatal Care (PNC), the importance of nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, and Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC). These sessions aimed to educate and empower families with essential health knowledge.
“We wanted to celebrate Independence Day in a way that gives back to both our environment and our community’s health,” said Rajesh Yeldi, one of the event organizers. “Planting trees is a simple yet impactful way to contribute to a healthier planet, and our health sessions provided valuable information to support new and expecting mothers.”
The health sessions were conducted by Mr. Rajesh Yeldi & Ms. Sujata Sherla who shared insights on maternal and child health, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition and care during and after pregnancy.
We believe that informed care is the best care. By educating mothers and their families, we can reduce risks, prevent complications, and promote overall well-being.
Thanks to all who participated and supported this initiative, especially to District Forest Department! Let’s continue to prioritize maternal and child health.
