Who WE ARE ?

Aradhya Foundation is non-profit organisation that operates on a public-private partnership model and depends on corporate funds, volunteers and well-wishers for managing this operation, also establishing collaborative relationships with Government and other stakeholders. Often mothers can’t avoid stress and trauma in your life — it’s not the mother’s fault if you experience trauma, and help is available when you’re pregnant or you have a young child. And we are helping financially to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Babies (NICU) – Low birth weight. Those families who are low-income people in our country.

Aradhya Foundation initially started to support Government hospitals in Solapur, Maharashtra. Most are in public hospitals and serve low-income populations. Aradhya Foundation has grown by increasing its depth in each Talukas for that helping to low- income family who’s suffering with low birthweight babies or who are not able to give them proper treatment due to financial condition.

Objective & Mission

• Aradhya Foundation’s started in 2018 with primary objective is to reduce low-birth-weight deliveries in India and support underweight children aged 0-2 years from BPL categories by providing proper medical facilities and nutrition. The foundation assists families with financial expenses for a child’s first 1,000 days.

• Additionally, from 2024 onwards the organization is dedicated to raising awareness in communities through training on Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), antenatal care (ANC) and postnatal care (PNC), It promotes the initiation of exclusive breastfeeding within one hour of birth, contributing to the healthy growth and development of children.

• The foundation also focuses on improving health conditions in rural areas, particularly for pregnant women and adolescent girls.

Our Programmes

Giving your child the excellence edge:

Antenatal care (ANC)

  • Antenatal care (ANC) coverage is an indicator of access and use of health care during pregnancy.
  • The antenatal period presents opportunities for reaching pregnant women with interventions that may be vital to their health and wellbeing and that of their infants..

Postnatal care (PNC)

  • Care of the mother and the newborn till six weeks after delivery.
  • To Prevent postpartum complications
  • To Provide care for rapid restoration of mother to optimum health.
    To check adequacy of breastfeeding
  • To provide basic health education.

Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC)

  •  KMC is particularly crucial for premature or low-birth-weight infants, but it can benefit all newborns. By placing the baby upright on the mother’s or father chest, with their skin touching, KMC recreates the womb’s warm and comforting environment. be they in hospitals or at home. Baby to be kept in warmer/ incubator only when KMC is not possible

Promoting breastfeeding

  • KMC facilitates early and exclusive breastfeeding. The proximity to the mother’s breast encourages the baby to latch on effectively, leading to increased milk production and successful breastfeeding initiation. Breast milk provides vital nutrients, antibodies, and immune factors essential for the baby’s health.

Health & Nutrition Awareness

  • Increase vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and dairy
& obtain for protein-rich foods, such as lean meat, eggs, dairy, beans, lentils and seafood low in mercury. Choose a variety of whole grains as well as fruits and vegetables. Eating a variety of foods while breastfeeding will change the flavor of your breast milk.
