1) Exclusive breastfeeding: Mother’s milk is the best food for the newborn & Initiate Breastfeeding within 1 Hour of childbirth to 0-6 months.
2) Creating awareness to Participate in monthly fixed village Mother Child Health & Nutrition Day.
3) Creating awareness to give Iron drops/syrup to maintain the body’s iron store for improving intelligence and physical strength for 6 – 9months.
4) Introducing Child Development Services Programme – ICDS seeks to provide young children with an integrated package of services such as supplementary nutrition, health care and pre-school education.
5) Awareness of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC): Mother’s chest is the best place for the newborn. KMC practice should become universal and reach almost all the newborns in our country, be they in hospitals or at home.
