We’re thrilled to announce that the Aradhya Foundation celebrated this Diwali festival with a unique program involving economically disadvantaged pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in our community. The event was initiated by the founder of the foundation, Mr. Rajesh Yeldi. Information about KMC (Kangaroo Mother Care), ANC Care & PNC Care was provided to these breastfeeding mothers. Details about the nature of the foundation’s work were also shared.
Sujata Madam gave information on how to take care of the baby, the appropriate diet, and the importance of hemoglobin levels in the blood. Additionally, Amruta Yeldi Madam shared her own experience of caring for her underweight baby.
It was announced that financial assistance would be provided for medicines and nutrition for underweight newborns during the program.
Later on, drawing, musical chair, and Nutrition Knowledge & Awareness competitions were held for young children, pregnant, and lactating mothers.
To celebrate Diwali in a good manner, the Aradhya Foundation supplied candles, home ration packets (oil, sugar, semolina, all-purpose flour, gram flour, almonds, cashews, raisins), and clothes for newborns to needy breastfeeding mothers whose babies were underweight at birth.
Each mother spoke a few words about how the foundation is supporting them and how they are caring for their underweight baby according to KMC guidelines and training given by the foundation.
Prizes were given to all the winners of the competitions. Like a family members we celebrated the Diwali festival with them.
